Conventional vests typically use rigid metal plates for protection, which naturally adds a significant amount of weight. In order to minimize the impact on mobility and reduce weight, such vests are often equipped with a very limited protection area. The result is compromised protection with poor comfort during wear. Since these plates, much like pure aramid vests, provide no breathability, comfort is further restricted, especially during intense operations.
In contrast, our vests are exceptionally lightweight while providing extensive protection, covering large portions of the front and back areas. 40% Subsidy possible
In Germany, our certified vests can be subsidized by the Employers’ Liability Insurance Association (Berufsgenossenschaft) at a rate of 40%. If you are eligible, you can receive a 40% reimbursement of the purchase price through the premium procedure after buying the vests. Carbon or fiberglass?
Carbon or fiberglass?
For our stab-resistant materials, we utilize two different variations based on the same underlying technology. Both materials consist of a high-strength aramid fabric with composite plates applied to it. Thanks to an overlap, even a knife cannot penetrate the gaps. For our particularly lightweight puncture-resistant materials, we use a fiberglass composite. For our certified products, we have opted for the best materials available: high-strength aramid, indestructible glass fibers, and ultra-lightweight carbon fibers. This enables our materials to meet the rigorous certification requirements of VPAM according to KDIW 2004 standards.
