You want your stab-proof vest to be completely invisible? Then our suit vest is just the right thing for you. The vest is made of a black, elegant but nevertheless robust material. The vest has a V-neck and there is a row of buttons attached, which gives the impression that the vest can be opened like a normal vest. And this is exactly the highlight of the new vest by Armadillo Tex. It is a high quality stab-proof vest which is not recognizable as such. For example, a white cloth can be inserted into the small breast pocket. At the latest then, nobody will think that it is a stab-proof vest. The vest is put on over the head and closed with strong Velcro on both sides on the back. By this technique the front is absolutely free of any signs that would reveal a safety vest. The 0.4 m² protection area overlaps on the side depending on your body structure, so that you are protected all around. Despite the large protection area, the vest has a very low weight of only 1.7 kg and is therefore pleasant and comfortable to wear.
The technology used to make our stab protection vests and other stab-proof garments is innovative and unique throughout the world. After many years of intensive research, we have succeeded in manufacturing a textile composite that is safe, light and flexible at the same time. Our stab-proof vest weighs only approx. 1.7 kg, for example. The protective layer is made of a high-strength aramid fabric to which a special plastic is inseparably applied. The combination of high strength fibres and the energy absorbing plastic create a material of which its specific properties even exceed those of stainless steel plates. The weight is approx. 4.5 times lower than that of a comparably thick stainless steel plate. We have taken the armadillo as a model to ensure flexibility and breathability. Just like this armored mammal, we make use of an overlapping scaly structure. However, our scaly structure differs from that of other suppliers in that it is not possible to push it apart. This allows us to achieve a high degree of safety in combination with maximum flexibility.
